Is it okay to buy a violin off the internet?
I have heard some people tell me that buying a violin off the internet is a bad idea and others tell me that its fine. I understand that after being shipped you have to tune it but is it advised? and can you tell me why or why not? and another question, are violins that have been colored, of bad quality?

Ok. So, I have already bought a tenor saxophone on ebay I can play the tenor, alto, bari, ect. and got it for $200 dollars and so far it works really well. I have recently looked on ebay and found violins' with bows, books, cases, ect. for $60 to $90. I am deciding whether or not to buy it. I have no experience whatsoever yet, and have been told that starting out with a cheap one is the way to go. I love how the violin sounds, and would love to learn so i want to buy one. My parents told me I would have to buy it by myself, or give them the money to buy it for me, and want to get one cheap so if i dont like it i wouldnt have spent hundreds ro thousands of dollars. Do you think that it's ok to get one from ebay?

Need help to buy a violin for a starter!!!?
Hi guys.Sometime ago I decided to start learning a violin...For that I need to buy one...I was told not to buy a too cheap one, cause it will probably suck and will be a waste of money and time.So I've seen some reviews and videos about this Cecilio Antique Ebony Violin CVN 500, and I find it very good, and cheap, about 150 euro.In the reviews I saw they say for this price this violin is the best, it does a smooth sound, and brings 2 bows, 1 extra pack of strings, a case, a electric tuner, shoulder rest etc... a lot of stuff.They also say it's a good violin to someone who is starting to play.So I would like some more opinions, If you think there are some better violins within this prices, let me know .And tell what you think about this one...I will probably buy this one, from what I heard seems to be a very good violin. But tell me you're personal opinion, and other choices of violins.My best regards, Thanks
Where to buy a violin for less?
I am a french horn player, but I've grown up with violin playing friends best in state and around violin music. My father recently said that I can learn it as a hobby as long as I stay strong with my horn playing.I'm searching for a violin within the price rang of 100 300. 300 is spreading me thin...I currently work with younger horn players which doesn't pay as much as I'd like, but being a student it works Any website would be helpful or a store in New York, preferably in the downtown area. Or central jersey area. I really appreciate your help. I just don't want to own an instrument that I can't tune and won't have fun playing.

Hello I've always loved the violin and am finally going to buy one. But I'm a complete beginner and have no idea what to look for when shopping for a violin. So if anyone could give me any tips on things I need to know and look for that would be great My budget it about $200, is that a good price range? I don't want to get a cheap instrument, but I don't want to spend more than needed. Oh, and I've never actually even touched a violin And I'm going to be teaching myself, so of anyone has any tips on playing they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have been playing violin now for 7 years and am finally ready to move up to a full violin. I really want it to be nice because it's the one I'll be using for life and probably will have a career in it. I'm an adult, looking to buy a used violin, but I don't know much about violins. I know I need a 4 4 size, but other than that I'm pretty lost. I'd love advice on good brands for beginner intermediate players, as well as tips on how to tell if a violin is in good playing shape. I want to play mostly classical music with it, not fiddle music. ok so i just bought a violin and i was trying to tune it and i broke the e string my parents are going to kill me if they found out sooo do you know any stores that sell strings for cheap? i can ask my teacher to replace it for me but he doesn't like me every much... please help me i feel so stupid for breaking it ' thank you oh if i bought a string how do you put it on the violin... i played the violin for 3 years but i never had my own so this is my first....
