Where can I find a flesch chin rest for a electric violin?
I use a middle chin rest for my acoustic violin and recently got an electric violin, but a normal flesch chin rest is too big and doesn't fit my electric violin because the electric violins are thinner than acoustic violins. Do you know where I can find a flesch chin rest that will fit the thinner body of an electric violin?

Is there a difference from playing electric violin and regular violin?
Yes i know the question is kind of obvious, but i just wonder. I love the violin, and i am going to start taking lessons soon, but i think electric violin is so much cooler, or not cooler but awsome. So i wonder, if i start playing regular violin and learn to play it well, could i just pick up a electric violin and play on that one, or is it like a different technique that you need to learn. Because i haven't seen ant electric violin lessons. Thanks
Where can I rent/buy an electric violin?
Hey guy Thanks for reading this and trying to help me out, I really appreciate it Well you kinda get my question from the title. I have been playing an acoustic violin for about five or six years, and recently I have moved to an apartment requiring me to play quieter. I have been considering a practice mute but I think i'd much rather buy an electric violin because i'm looking for a change in tone. I am of course looking for a silent model and looking for a place either in Michigan or online to rent or buy a quality electric violin for a good price. For my current violin, I have spent over $3000 as I am only a high school student. Im not to sure as to what my current budget would be but I'm thinking not to spend over $1000 unless its really worth it. If you guys could just drop some suggestions on companies or brands to look for I would really appreciate it Thanks again for your time D

What brand of electric violin should I get?
I've been playing the acoustic violin for over 10 years now and I want to start playing an electric violin, but the problem is I know nothing about them. Are all the strings the same?I don't want a super expensive one, but I want some recommendations on a good brand that sounds nice and has a good vibrato sound.Any sites and brands you know, please tell I'm also interested in a hollow electric violin. And is it a big difference to an acoustic or does it take awhile to adjust? Thanks.

Electric violin question, fender FV-1?
I recently got a Fender electric violin. But I don't know how to work it. It didn't come with an owners manual. I tried plugging it into speakers using an adaptor jack, but the sound wasn't transferring through. I'm worried it might be broken. My only thought is that maybe normal speakers won't work, that it must have an amp to work. Any ideas, or suggestions?
Electric Violin Strings, Prim or Jargar?
Earlier this year i bought a very cheap electric violin off of ebay. The sound quality is just ok, but the strings are the part that mainly bother me the most. They suck. They're dull, very slow to respond, very stiff, and uck, everything about them. I understand that is expected considering the price of the instrument itself. Anyway, i have a performance in about three weeks and have narrowed my search for strings down to either Prims, or the well know Jargars. I am have a very hard time deciding between the two, and i have obviously very limited time. I would like to know the pros and cons of both. Thank you
