Is it true that electric violins are harder to play than acoustic violins?
I've heard people say so.. But since electric guitars are easier than acoustic ones I'm unsure if it's true.
What makes some electric violins more expensive than others?
I've played violin for about 10 years, and I'm pretty good state ranked player D im still in high school anyways, i was interested in buying an electric violin just for fun, but i noticed some cost around 130 dollars, some cost over 1000what's the difference? is there a difference in sound quality? if i'm just buying the violin to have a bit of fun, will there be a significant change in quality? i understand how regular violins can all have extremely different tones, but not quite for electric violins....

Is a Stagg electric violin good?
I have been playing violin for 7 years now, and am looking at electric violins costing up to $300. This doesn't leave many options, but I was wondering if anyone knows if a Stagg electric violin is worth 270 dollars, and if it is a decent violin. If u have any other suggestions, feel free to leave one. Thanks
Electric Violin for Beginners?
I know this has been asked before, but I haven't yet found an answer that satisfies me. I have never played the violin before, and I have no idea what to look for when buying one. I don't plan to play professionally or anything. I just love the sound that violins and cellos can produce and want nothing more than to learn to play one. I've heard that an acoustic violin is best as opposed to an electric violin, but my siblings are, as I am, in school and the violin would be too much noise for them to study properly. I first found the Cecilio brand violins for only $130, but I've seen reviews ranging from working well and being perfect for beginners, to being made cheap with cracked or otherwise non functional parts upon arrival. I really don't want to spend much more than $200 I have student loans , but then, I don't want to spend $130 for something that isn't worth the cost and may break within the first month.I just want something that will make violin sounds when I play it and will still work six months from now. What sort of electric violins am I looking at? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Should I get an electric violin or an acoustic violin?
Well my birthday is coming up and I've been thinking lately about getting another violin, I currently own an acoustic violin which I have had since about 6th grade I'm in 10th grade now . I am also in my High school's concert orchestra, which is at the intermediate level behind symphony, the most prestigious. So now I am wondering if I should get an electric violin or an acoustic violin with a budget of about $200.Here are reasons why I want another violin, and the reasons you should consider in your answer 1. I want a second violin to be able to practice at home and at school2. I've heard that electric violins have the ability to mute sound and transfer them into headphones which seems like it will help with intonation.I would also prefer if you have experiences with both acoustic and electric, another thing I would like to know is if an electric violin will still sound normal and how it can be converted to silent. Here are the links for the violins I have been thinking about buying Electric violin kkmusicstore.com cecilio cevn1w pearl white size 44 34 or 12 electric silent violin in style 1 case lesson book w dvd bow more p 380.html Acoustic 1 kkmusicstore.com cecilio cvnblack ebony fitted violin w tuner 2 bows shoulder rest extra sets strings lesson bookdvd in 44 full size p 7.htmlAcoustic 2 kkmusicstore.com cecilio cvn500 antique flamed ebony violintuner 2 bows shoulder rest extra strings lesson book p 5.htmlThanks in advance Another thing I'm wonder about is if the electric violin needs to be turned on, thus using the battery, to even emit any sound or hear anything or if i can play without turning it on and listening it with headphones without turning it on. I also don't play to get an amp, maybe in the late future.
Where can I find a flesch chin rest for a electric violin?
I use a middle chin rest for my acoustic violin and recently got an electric violin, but a normal flesch chin rest is too big and doesn't fit my electric violin because the electric violins are thinner than acoustic violins. Do you know where I can find a flesch chin rest that will fit the thinner body of an electric violin?
Information on Electric Violins?
Recently, I've been looking into the idea of buying an electric violin. I've never played before, so don't really have an idea of what to look for, as well as whether additional parts, such as amps headphones, are needed. Mainly interested because I've heard a lot of songs lately which would sound pretty great with a violin. Websites with information about electric violins would be much appreciated
