How much would it cost to have a violin bridge professionally set up?
i got a new violin, and the bridge on it was leaning towards the fingerboard. the bridge is alot taller than the bridge on my old violin. i was gonna have the new bridge carved down...but idk, the bridge doesn't look like the best quality. i'm gonna purchase a bridge just like the one, on my old violin. how much would it cost to have it professionally set up?to the dude talkin about union nonsense...you obviously ain't a string player

Anyone have a video or something on " How to sand file a violin bridge" ?? I know i can take it to a music store but i was also told i could do it on my own but i wanna see a video or follow some instructions n guidelines

my mom broke my violin bridge so uh, is there anyway to repair it? like getting some special glue or whatever or should i go to a place so they can do their thing and hit me up with a new one?

What to do with a collapsed violin bridge?
what will i do? the bridge on my violin collapse when i tried to tune it. can i leave it like that for a month? then, on March, i can meet a violin instructor and have it fixed. or do i need to fix it immediately?
Is there something wrong with my violin bridge?
I only started playing violin a few days ago, having bought a pretty cheap one from a shop down the road. Whenever I attempt to play the D string, it's very difficult not to play the G string as well. I don't have this trouble on the other strings, and I've been playing double bass for several years, so I don't think it's just poor technique. When I examine the angles at which the strings move over the bridge, it does almost seem as if the G and D strings have a much smaller angle of difference between them than the other strings. Is this likely, or am I just being thick?

Fixing a violin bridge and strings? Cost?
My mom's violin has been in it's case, under her bead for the past 20 years. I got it out a little while ago to rescue it, and possibly fix it up for her. P It's kinda pointless to fix it because I am not planning on learning the violin, and my mom is not really caring about it, but I know she will be interested in playing with it if it is fixed. Anyway I just feel bad for the violin. It's like an abused puppy..lol. But the bridge is no longer attached to the violin and 3 of the strings are broken. The bridge stays up fine under the tension of the remaining string, but not if I remove the remaining string. Is it supposed to be like that? Forgive my ignorance, I know nothing about violins. And how to I replace all of the strings? How much do new strings cost? If I have to take the violin in to a repair shop, how much will fixing the bridge cost if it's even broken.. ? For all of you violin players this is probably a dumb question to ask but the violin is not my specialty, lol I will appreciate any answers given

So I just got a violin and needed to buy a bridge for it. I put it on, but i think it's far too high, it would be impossible to play the highest note on the fingerboard for the G string. Does anyone know measurements of the distance between the strings height to the fingerboard ? For e.g right at the end of the fingerboard in mm
