Any recommendations for violin makers?
I have been playing for 10 years now, and I am very dedicated, not to sound vain but I am good. Also I have two violins. The first one is a terrible piece of junk. The second one is quite good though it was made in 1999, and has a good sound. But I am looking for something that reflects my playing ability. Price wise I really only want to spend up to 5000 6000. So what makers or type would you recommend.

I'm currently trying out a Terence O'Laughlin 1921 violin. I'm loving it so far, and am highly considering purchasing it. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Terence O'Laughlin, the Luthier. A google search has brought up very little other than the fact he made violins in Boston. If anyone has any other information, it would be greatly appreciated
