Whats a good violin to buy and are there any sites that sell them?
i want to learn o play a new instrument and get acquainted with music again. i used to play a clarinet and now i'd like to learn to play the violin .I'm willing to pay from 500 1000 dollars for a violin since the cheap ones aren't that good.help.

What kind of violin to buy?
I have always wanted to learn to play the violin and at the age of 46 I am finally going to try to learn. I have absolutely no musical ability at all. I want to buy a used violin to start with but I have no idea what brand to buy. I'd like something inexpensive to start with as I can always upgrade as I get better. Any advise would be appreciated.

So I think I've decided I want to learn the electric violin, it seems so cool and fun and sounds so awesome. How hard is it to learn the electric violin compared to learning guitar?
